The Gvozdika howitzer crew destroyed AFU personnel and a stronghold in the SSO zone

The 122-millimeter Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers of the Vostok group of troops have destroyed a manpower and a stronghold of Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) militants in the south Donetsk direction of the special military operation (SMO). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 22.
Russian scouts with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the nearby wooded areas detected enemy positions and transmitted the exact coordinates to the calculations of Gvozdika howitzers.
The artillerymen then took up closed firing positions and fired fragmentation-fugitive ammunition. Thus they destroyed a Ukrainian unit in the equipped shelters of the stronghold and a field storehouse with ammunition.
"It takes us two to five minutes to occupy a firing position. <...> Basically, five or ten minutes of firing, then we leave," said the howitzer gunner-operator with the call sign Koryak.
After the completion of combat work, the self-propelled howitzer crew promptly changed the firing position.
Earlier, on November 21, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Msta-B 152-millimeter howitzer of the Guards Artillery Brigade of the South group of forces destroyed an AFU stronghold in the Kurakhov direction of the North Caucasus Military District.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
