Russian gymnasts win gold medals at the Heavenly Grace Cup

Russian athletes won gold medals at the Heavenly Grace Cup rhythmic gymnastics tournament in Qatar. Images from the awarding ceremonies are at the disposal of Izvestia.

Karolina Tarasova, a pupil of the Alina Kabaeva International Academy, won in the ribbon exercise.

"I experienced a lot of emotions, I am happy that I competed for a medal," - said the gymnast.

The best in the exercise with clubs was Ksenia Savinova from Gatchina with a performance to "Gypsy". On the first day of the competition the athlete also became the champion in the hoop exercise.

Christina Voitenko from Novosibirsk won the gold medal in ball and jump rope exercises. The gymnast's rope program was to the song "Heroes of Sports" by Muslim Magomaev.

The 11-year-old Veronika Malinina from St. Petersburg became the strongest among the preunior gymnasts according to the results of three events.

"I tried to perform emotionally, to please both judges and spectators, to please everyone," Veronika shared.

The international rhythmic gymnastics tournament "Heavenly Grace Cup" is held in Qatar from November 20 to 22. At the competition 14 sets of medals between athletes from 25 countries of the world are played. More than 100 gymnasts will perform personal programs.
