The Grad multiple rocket launcher system (MLRS) of the Guards Artillery Brigade of the South group of troops has hit a Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) militant stronghold in the Kurakhov area of the special military operation (SMO). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 22.

Russian scouts with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were able to detect the enemy position and promptly transmit the exact coordinates to the artillerymen. After that, the Grad MLRS calculations took up firing positions, deployed the launchers and fired a salvo, which resulted in the destruction of a fortified enemy stronghold with AFU manpower and equipment.

"Drove into the firing position, ran out, did everything, aimed, fired, and that's it. If the targets are good, we can go out five, six or seven times," said the commander of the combat vehicle with the call sign Maloy.

After the crews were convinced that the enemy had been destroyed, they returned to a safe place where they reloaded the guns.

Earlier, on November 20, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Grad MLRS of the "North" group of troops had destroyed fortified enemy positions with manpower and disrupted the rotation of AFU fighters.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made in connection with the aggravation of the situation in the region.
