Ka-52M helicopters destroyed AFU armored vehicles in the Kursk border area

Army aviation crews of Ka-52M helicopters have struck personnel and armored military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of Kursk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 22.

It is reported that the strikes were carried out by aircraft missiles on reconnaissance targets of the enemy.

The crews also performed an anti-missile maneuver after the use of enemy aircraft and released heat traps before returning to the departure site.

The Russian Defense Ministry added that, according to the reports of the air gunner, the Ukrainian personnel and armored military equipment were destroyed.

Earlier, on November 21, the crews of attack aviation on Su-25 aircraft carried out missile air strikes on armored vehicles and personnel of AFU units in the border areas of Kursk region. It is specified that missile launches were carried out in pairs from low altitudes.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
