The actions of the United States are becoming more and more dangerous, they are bringing closer the conflict with Russia. This was stated by Senator Alexei Pushkov on November 21.

"The U.S. is rushing towards a conflict with Russia at all speeds. Their actions are increasingly dangerous and irresponsible. The whole world sees this," he wrote in his Telegram channel, commenting on the White House press secretary's statement that the Russian missile launch would not affect the country's policy toward Ukraine.

Pushkov also drew attention to Trump's surprising silence.

"Is he sure that he will not inherit such a situation from Biden, when he will become not a person who determines the course of events, but just a hostage of a hopeless confrontation?" - the senator summarized.

Earlier in the day, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that the U.S. authorities "see no reason to change the balance (of nuclear forces. - Ed.) or nuclear doctrine." According to her, the USA will continue to support Ukraine and "will accelerate the delivery of the allocated aid".

Before that, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukraine had used Western long-range weapons against the Russian state. According to him, the regional conflict has acquired elements of global character. He also said that the Russian state had tested the Oreshnik missile in response to NATO 's aggressive actions.

Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to defend Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022. The decision to carry it out was made by the Russian president due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to the increased shelling by Ukrainian troops.
