- Pushilin called the launch of the Oreshnik IRBM an adequate response to aggression against Russia

The use of the Oreshnik medium-range combat missile (MRCT) is a fair response to Ukraine's aggression. This was stated by the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) Denis Pushilin on November 21.
"This is an adequate and fair response to the aggression against peaceful Russian cities," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Pushilin emphasized that "Oreshnik" will remind "all those who have forgotten about it" that Russia cannot be defeated.
Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that there are no means of countering Russian Oreshnik missiles in the world now. He noted that the missile is capable of attacking targets at speeds of up to 2-3 km/s and existing air defense systems cannot intercept it.
Later, footage of the Russian Armed Forces striking the Yuzhmash plant in Dnipropetrovsk with the Oreshnik missile was published. The footage shows parts of the missile hitting the facilities, followed by bright flashes.
Military observer Alexander Butyrin spoke to Izvestia about the uniqueness of the Oreshnik missile. He noted that the development of this missile was conducted in a classified mode and it was not mentioned in the public domain. The military observer also reported that "Oreshnik" can be equipped with nuclear "stuffing", but also works without it.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
