Military observer told about the uniqueness of the "Nuttall" missile

The Oreshnik missile is invulnerable to all air defense systems that currently exist in the world. Military observer Alexander Butyrin told Izvestia on November 21.
"It is hypersonic. Its speed is approximately 2-3 km/s, which allows it to be invulnerable," Butyrin said.
He noted that the development of this missile was conducted in a classified mode and it was not mentioned in the public domain.
"Basically, there is very little information about them. The developments were conducted in classified, until today there was no mention of this system in the open media," Butyrin added.
The military observer also reported that "Oreshnik" can be equipped with nuclear "stuffing", but also works without it.
Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that there are no means of countering Russian Oreshnik missiles in the world now. He noted that the missile is capable of attacking targets at speeds of up to 2-3 km/s and existing air defense systems cannot intercept it.
On the same day, Putin said Ukraine had used Western long-range weapons against the Russian state. According to him, the regional conflict has acquired elements of global character. The head of state also said that one of Russia's newest medium-range missile systems was tested in combat conditions - a nuclear-free hypersonic ballistic missile called Oreshnik was used.
On November 19, the Russian military shot down five ATACMS missiles launched by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Bryansk region and damaged another. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called it a signal that the West wants to escalate the conflict.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to defend Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022. The decision to hold it was taken by the Russian president because of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to the increased shelling by Ukrainian troops.
