The decision of incumbent US President Joe Biden to use the US ATACMS system by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) may lead to his impeachment because it involves the country in the Ukrainian conflict. This was stated by American journalist, lawyer and writer Glenn Greenwald in a conversation with journalist Tucker Carlson on November 20.

According to the lawyer, this is the first time in the entire presidential term that Biden has directly involved the United States in the conflict. To this, Carlson, interrupting, said that it is necessary to declare impeachment of the current president right now.

"There is a limitation, under the Constitution, on the ability to engage the United States in war without congressional approval, and that's exactly what happened because of the authorization to use those missiles, as I said, we're needed there to coordinate them," Greenwald pointed out.

He added that most Republicans support Biden's action and believe it should have been allowed a year ago.

According to the lawyer, calling Biden a "lame duck" is a nickname given to him for a reason. As he added, a lame duck cannot take any action, it is limited, and this missile-related decision could not have been made by him. Greenwald pointed out that there was no situation that could have led to this decision.

"They just wanted to inflame the situation because they ("hawks" in the Biden administration. - Ed.) think Trump won't do it. That's why they did it," he summarized.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Biden decided on ATACMS missiles for strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the territory of Russia in order to complicate Trump's term. In addition, the materials noted that supporters of the intensification of the conflict from Biden's entourage are ready to take any action to reduce the chances of Trump to resolve the conflict, because of fear and a probable tribunal.

On the eve of the American journalist Tucker Carlson said that the US government is fascist. According to Carlson, it is the current authorities in Washington who are showing fascist signs, trying to accuse Russia of such things. He expressed the opinion that one of the worst scenarios is currently being realized in the United States, when members of the outgoing Biden administration leave their successors with a country on the brink of a nuclear conflict.

On the same day, Carlson criticized Biden for allowing Kiev to launch strikes with U.S. long-range missiles deep into Russian territory. The journalist warned that such a move could lead the US to ruin.

Prior to that, on November 17, The New York Times reported that Biden allegedly allowed Ukraine to use US long-range ATACMS missiles to strike Russia. The White House did not officially confirm this fact. On November 19, the Russian military shot down five ATACMS launched by the AFU in the Bryansk region and damaged another one.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that the Biden administration wants the conflict in Ukraine to continue, and that the AFU strikes by Western long-range missiles deep into Russian territory are a new escalation. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova warned that these actions would receive an "adequate and tangible" response.

Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to protect Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022. The decision to carry it out was taken by the Russian president because of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to the increased shelling by Ukrainian troops.
