Nutrition culture of schoolchildren is formed in the family circle, and parents should lay down certain rules for proper nutrition. This was reported by cardiologist, nutritionist Margarita Koroleva on Thursday, November 21.

According to the nutritionist, the child's diet should be diverse, it should have sources of protein, carbohydrates, fats and fiber.

"There should be products from different groups: meat, poultry, fish, milk, cottage cheese, casseroles, puddings, butter vegetable oil, eggs. <...> And from drinks, the child should be given tea or just pure water. Younger schoolchildren should definitely be given dairy products, because the protein in their composition provides growth and development of the child, getting those fat components that are necessary for the formation of hormonal components of the body," - explained the expert in conversation with "Radio 1".

The Queen added that steaks, kebabs, chebureks and hot dogs are contraindicated for children.

She added that saying that stewed vegetables with cutlets are not tasty is a food stereotype that should not be followed. A child should be accustomed to healthy and natural products from childhood, so that in the conditions of choice he would take them.

On November 20, Mikhail Vetrov, a deputy of the St. Petersburg municipality of Shushary settlement, appealed to Russian Education Minister Sergey Kravtsov with a proposal to consider introducing the principle of seasonal menus in schools, RT reports.

According to him, seasonal products are characterized by increased freshness and are beneficial for children's bodies, 360.ru reports.

On November 17, Victoria Podsukhina, a teacher, head of regional teaching of MAXIMUM Education company, said that in autumn and winter it is necessary to help children support their bodies and ensure the effectiveness of a successful learning process. She noted that first of all attention should be paid to nutrition.

Podsukhina said that nutrition should be varied and balanced, so that the diet contains vitamins, minerals, proteins and fatty acids. Fruits and vegetables should be included in the diet.
