Russian President Vladimir Putin has submitted to the State Duma a bill proposing to create a board of trustees of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS). The corresponding document was published in the Duma database on November 21.

"The draft federal law introduces amendments that enshrine the role of the Board of Trustees of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the system of management bodies of the Russian Academy of Sciences with the definition of tasks and functions of such a Board", - stated in the document.

In addition, it is specified that the composition of the Board of Trustees is formed and headed by the Russian leader taking into account the proposals of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The number of members should not exceed 20 people.

Earlier, November 11, the president of the national research center "Kurchatov Institute" Mikhail Kovalchuk said that at the moment scientists are not leaving Russia - on the contrary, many of them come to the Russian Federation from abroad for unique opportunities. As Kovalchuk noted, the world is now being reformatted. In particular, representatives of 100 countries, including scientists, came to the Russia National Center in Moscow last week to discuss development as part of the Creating the Future symposium.
