Mediascope's 30th anniversary conference held in Moscow

A conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Mediascope was held in Moscow on November 21, where current developments and technologies were discussed.
The event was attended by about 700 specialists who shared the results of their work and talked about new media trends.
As Mediascope CEO Ruslan Tagiev noted, a few years ago the company took a course on infrastructure modernization and made a technological leap.
"One of the most important areas of our activity has become the localization of measurement solutions. We are not only developing our own products, but also attracting the best experience in working with data - we have entered into strategic partnerships with technology companies Cifrasoft, MediaHills, and Admetrix. In addition to our own data, we also process data from partners - streaming services and major online platforms," Tagiev said in the company's Telegram channel.
According to Alexei Goreslavsky, Director General of the Internet Development Institute (IDI) and Chairman of the Public Council at the Russian Ministry of Digital Media, Mediascope's presentation showed indicators proving the predominance of domestic information and artistic content in Russians' media consumption.
"An important segment of media consumption is games. Games have become a powerful tool for conveying meanings and occupy a strong position among media entertainment. According to previously announced data from Mediascope, games are among the top 4 types of online activity, second only to video services and traditional Internet activities such as social networks and messengers," he said.
According to Goreslavsky, over the past three years, for example, the IRI has supported more than 40 gaming projects. In 2022-2023 alone, about 1.5 billion rubles were invested in games, and in 2024 the amount of support exceeded 1.57 billion. At the end of this year, more than 16 teams will release games created with IRI support, some of which are already available on Russian and foreign platforms.
"On November 25, a new IRI competition will start, which will allow Russian game projects to receive state support. Our goal is to help the industry develop and fill the gaming market with quality Russian projects," the IRI CEO added.
Mediascope is engaged in media research, advertising and media monitoring.
During the conference, Irina Suanova, Head of Client Relations and Data Analytics at Mediascope, also said that TV series have become the most popular content for Russians on TV and in online cinemas.
