Russian Defense Ministry shows footage of the destruction of an AFU unit's mortar crew

On November 21, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of objective control over the destruction of a mortar unit of one of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) units by an FPV drone operator of the "North" group of troops in Kharkiv Region.

According to the ministry, the servicemen of the "North" group of troops discovered a camouflaged position of a mortar unit of one of the AFU units during reconnaissance activities in a forest belt.

The decision to fire was made after determining and confirming the exact coordinates of the enemy's location.

"The detected target was promptly destroyed with the use of FPV-drone reconnaissance of reconnaissance of the grouping of troops "North". The means of objective control recorded a direct hit on the position of the AFU mortar calculation," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Earlier, on November 20, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of a missile strike on a company tactical group of the 2nd Airborne Assault Battalion of the 82nd Independent Airborne Assault Brigade of the AFU in Sumy district, in the village of Yunakovka.

As a result of the strike, up to 50 militants, 12 armored combat vehicles and six units of automotive equipment were destroyed.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
