A new road sign "Chmoki and Poki" will appear near a school in Voronezh as an experiment. This is an alternative to the sign "Dropped off and left", developed by designer Artemy Lebedev. This was announced by the Russian State Traffic Inspectorate in its Telegram channel on November 21.

The sign is supposed to remind drivers who drop off children to school not to stop the car on the road, interfering with other road users, but to drop off the child and drive on.

The former parking pocket next to the school will be used for drop off. A 3.28 "No Parking" sign will be installed at the entrance to it (allowing stopping for no more than 5 minutes), as well as a sign with additional information "For child drop-off only. No cars!".

The sidewalk will be separated from the roadway by a pedestrian fence. First time at the place will be on duty employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate. It is noted that the initiative with the sign was studied by the city administration and agreed with the traffic police, taking into account the experience of other cities. Now the installation of signs and fencing is underway.

"The new scheme will come into effect in the coming days. In Voronezh it is applied for the first time, but if the experiment is successful, perhaps such signs will appear at other schools in the city", - noted in the department.

November 19, it was reported that the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation is preparing changes to the traffic rules, according to which the minimum age for driving personal mobility equipment (PME) will be raised from 14 to 16 years.
