- The State Duma evaluated the idea of transferring Russian women with children to remote work

Member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs Svetlana Bessarab assessed on Thursday, November 21, the initiative to transfer Russian women with children under three years old to remote work. The idea is theoretically realistic, the parliamentarian believes.
Earlier "Izvestia" found out that the State Duma introduces a bill that proposes to oblige employers to transfer pregnant women and women with children under three years of age to remote work. This is supposed to be done on the basis of their written application, if the specifics of the activity allows them to perform job duties remotely, reports 360.ru.
Bessarab noted that in many industries, and to a greater extent, it is in the production sectors, the transfer to remote work is impossible. It is also impossible in transportation.
"It is unlikely that a streetcar driver will be able to work remotely. But if it concerns an office worker, it should be noted that the percentage of office workers, those who can be transferred to a remote mode of work, is very small in Russia, and to represent all of Russia as only an agglomeration or, for example, as only Moscow, is simply not to understand Russia. However, if it is possible, then yes, such a norm will not be excessive," - said the deputy in conversation with Lenta.Ru.
November 19, it was reported that the majority of surveyed Russians (85%), who work from home for more than five years, do not want to return to the office. This was found out by analysts "Contur.Tolka", who conducted a survey. Respondents also said that they are prevented from working at home: noise in the street (24%), neighbors (22%) and children (21%). At the same time, every third person had to interrupt the working day because of an incident with relatives.
