Business sessions, discussions, lectures, master classes, programming championship - the program of the IV Congress of Young Scientists already includes more than 170 events.
The IV Congress will gather more than 7000 participants from almost 40 countries: Brazil, China, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, Iran, Egypt, UAE, Uzbekistan, South Africa, Bulgaria, Germany, Serbia, Finland, France, Switzerland and others. The discussions will be attended by leading scientists, government and public figures, heads of educational and scientific organizations, heads of state corporations, journalists, and participants of the BRICS Young Scientists Forum.
An extended business program has been published on the event's website. The discussions will focus on the search for answers to big challenges, implementation of scientific and technological development priorities to achieve national goals, international scientific interaction with BRICS countries.
"The program of the IV Congress this year has become even more intense - more than 170 events will be held over three days, which will allow to consider the development of science, international scientific cooperation in different perspectives. The diversity of topics will allow a deeper look at individual scientific areas, professions and aspects of the functioning and management of the scientific industry, and therefore, to develop more precise measures to support science for the future years of the Decade of Science and Technology," said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation.
"The Congress of Young Scientists has become a traditional place to summarize the scientific and technological results of the year. This year's agenda is particularly rich. It is determined by internal changes: this year the Strategy and priority directions of scientific and technological development have been updated, national goals have been formulated. In addition, the international agenda of the Congress was significantly enriched by the participation of guests from the BRICS countries - participants of the BRICS Young Scientists Forum and the BRICS Young Innovators Competition. For the development of international scientific dialog within BRICS a serious groundwork has been created, and next year we will see new results of this work," said Denis Sekirinsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
The business program of the IV Congress of Young Scientists will include discussions in four main areas:
- "Grand Challenges and Priorities of Scientific and Technological Development";
- "Science without borders: sharing principles, uniting minds";
- "Development Resources: People, Ideas, Infrastructure";
- "Initiatives of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia".
The program track "Grand Challenges and Priorities of Scientific and Technological Development" will include sessions devoted to the development of nature-like technologies and the formation of bioeconomy, space exploration, development of fundamental science and transformation of its achievements into technological products. During the session "New Materials and Chemistry: an essential component of ensuring Russia's technological leadership" will discuss measures within the framework of the new national project "New Materials and Chemistry" to create new-generation materials and technologies to support high-tech industries.
A number of sessions will be devoted to the use of information technologies: the application of artificial intelligence in science, big data analysis for forecasting emergency situations, digital modeling, and the development of quantum communications. Much attention will also be paid to medical technologies: creation of high-tech drugs, development of neuro- and biotechnologies, personalized medicine. The track will also discuss the application of technologies in the humanities. Young scientists will share their vision of how to ensure Russia's technological leadership on the world stage, how to use scientific methods to ensure inclusion in different spheres of life.
The program area "Science without Borders: Sharing Principles, Uniting Minds" will be held with the participation of guests of the BRICS Young Scientists Forum. Various aspects of international scientific cooperation will be discussed. The discussion "Sharing Principles, Connecting Minds: How Scientists Can Work Together?" will be devoted to the creation of effective international research teams with a high level of cooperation that can ensure competitive advantages and leadership in achieving scientific and technological results. Discussions will also be devoted to attracting foreign students and scientists to Russian universities and promoting the role of Russian as a language of international scientific communication. The sessions devoted to the role of science in the formation of a new world order will discuss the creation of a new humanitarian platform for the exchange of views and proposals for the formation of new political alliances, the role of the BRICS countries in the formation of a polycentric world order, the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and China in the field of science and education. There will also be sessions devoted to the implementation of scientific projects with the participation of African countries and the transfer of the BRICS chairmanship to Brazil in 2025.
The track "Development Resources: People, Ideas, Infrastructure" will focus on the development of scientific personnel. Discussions will focus on individual scientific professions, engineering, math and IT education, and training for the environmental sector. A number of discussions will be devoted to the mechanisms of financing scientific projects: the state system of support for research and development, regional grant programs, targeted support for industry projects and research centers. A separate block of discussions will be devoted to cooperation between business and science and mechanisms for bringing innovations to the market: development of technology business, work of student design bureaus, cooperation between scientists and entrepreneurs for the development of Russian technologies. The track will also feature an expert report "Scientific Personnel of Russia: Trends, Problems, Prospects", dedicated to the formation of a new generation of researchers within the framework of the national project "Personnel". The national project is designed to synchronize the needs of the economy and the training of scientific personnel to strengthen the country's technological sovereignty.
The track "Initiatives of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia" will summarize the results of the year in the implementation of initiatives aimed at attracting talented young people to the field of research and development, involving researchers and developers in solving the most important problems of the development of society and the country, as well as increasing the availability of information about the achievements and prospects of Russian science for the citizens of the country. Sessions will be held on the results of satellite events of the IV Congress of Young Scientists in the Murmansk region, the Republic of Dagestan and the federal territory of Sirius.
A large block of discussions will focus on measures to popularize science: through science pop and science fiction, science shows and programs, popular science tourism and scientific children's playgrounds. They will also talk about the promotion of intellectual content in the media, ways to compete with entertainment formats, media image of a scientist and the application of science-intensive technologies in the media and film industry.
In the Digital Center of NRNU MEPhI-Rosatom, lectures in the format of the open program of the Congress of Young Scientists will be held: lectures on international exchange in agricultural science, cognitive technologies, innovations in the field of nuclear medicine, microfluidic technologies and others.
The program of the IV Congress will include events of the Scientific Lounge, meetings with outstanding scientists and business representatives and the traditional School of the Russian Science Foundation, cultural and sports programs. There will also be a meeting of representatives of councils of young scientists and student scientific societies with coordinators of the Coordinating Council on Youth Affairs in the Scientific and Educational Spheres of the Presidential Council on Science and Education.
At the exhibition of modern Russian technologies the participants of the Congress will get acquainted with scientific achievements and developments of 50 largest Russian companies, leading universities, scientific and educational centers, state and public organizations.
