November 28, the Central Bank (CBR) of Russia will discuss symbols for the reverse side of Br1 thousand banknote at a meeting of the Advisory Council. This was reported by the regulator on November 21.

It is noted that the meeting will be attended by the Chairman of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Sergei Belov, as well as members of the Advisory Council.

"The meeting will discuss symbols for the reverse side of the banknote of 1 thousand rubles, dedicated to the Volga Federal District", - stated in the message.

Also will be determined the final list of objects for popular online voting.

The online voting for the symbol of the new banknote of Br1 thousand, dedicated to the Volga Federal District, became known on October 25. It was reported that the front side of the banknote will remain the same - it depicts views of Nizhny Novgorod. It was reported that the Bank of Russia has created an advisory council on banknotes, which will make a list of landmarks of the Volga Federal District, which could decorate the new bill. According to the new concept of the Central Bank, each updated banknote with denominations from Br10 to Br5 thousand will be dedicated to one of the federal districts of Russia.

On the same day, it was reported that some regions of Russia began to appear new banknotes of Br5 thousand. Thus, such banknotes have already been put into circulation in the Altai and Perm Territories.
