Forecaster predicts wet snow and falling temperatures in Moscow in the coming days


In the coming days, wet snow, rain and a drop in temperature are forecast in Moscow. Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, told Izvestia about the weather at the end of the month on November 21.
He reported that the Russian capital is now in the warm sector of the cyclone. This means that a long cool period will soon await the city residents.
On Friday, November 22, variable cloudiness is predicted, with daytime temperatures ranging from 0 to +2 degrees Celsius. According to the forecaster, Muscovites on this day "will see the sun".
"On Saturday again inclement weather, because another cyclone is approaching, there will be precipitation in the form of wet snow and rain", - said Vilfand.
He specified that from November 25 will begin a long cool period: the temperature will fall by 3 degrees below normal.
"During the day - sunny, at night - lunar and starry," - described the weather next week meteorologist.
Vilfand pointed out the decrease in air temperature: the whole first half of next week will be from -4 to -9 degrees at night. Daytime temperatures are also negative: from -3 to -4 degrees.
Earlier in the day, leading expert of the weather center "Phobos" Evgeny Tishkovets said that a five-point storm is expected in Moscow on Thursday, November 21. The forecaster noted that from 17:00 to 22:00 strong winds are expected, which can lead to the fall of trees, damage to buildings and power lines. It is specified that by Friday the bad weather will subside.
Before that, the scientific head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand predicted November 21 in Central Russia, including Moscow, the first snowstorm, wind gusts up to 20 m/s. According to the forecaster, on the night of Friday, November 22, precipitation will gradually stop, the temperature will be from 0 to -4 degrees.
