- Starovoit ruled out the impact of the Airbus situation on Russian transportation logistics

Problems with Airbus neo engines will not have a significant negative impact on transportation logistics in Russia. This statement was made by Roman Starovoit, head of the Ministry of Transport, at the Transport of Russia forum and exhibition on November 21.
He emphasized that currently the aviation industry around the world is in a difficult situation due to problems with the quality of Boeing and Airbus engines. As a result, delivery deadlines are being disrupted.
"It has become clear that Airbus engines started to be installed unfinished when their failures appeared. This will not have a significant negative impact on transportation logistics," Starovoit said.
The head of the Ministry of Transport noted that the priority task set by Russian President Vladimir Putin is to ensure import substitution and recovery of the aviation industry.
He reminded that an expert group was set up on the platform of the Ministry of Transport to regulate the legislation.
Earlier, on June 15, The New York Times reported that in the design of some aircraft of Boeing and Airbus companies found parts made of titanium with forged documents on certification of the metal.
In mid-May, U.S. police reported that former Boeing engineer John Barnett, who was found dead after testifying at a trial against the company, committed suicide. Before that, on May 1, the second source of leaks about irregularities in the production of Boeing airplanes, former quality auditor at Boeing supplier Spirit AeroSystems Joshua Dean, died in the United States.
