Israeli military aviation struck the command centers of the Lebanese movement "Hezbollah" in Beirut. This was reported by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in its Telegram channel on November 21.

"During the night, the IAF carried out reconnaissance strikes on Hezbollah facilities in the Dahiyeh neighborhood, a key position of the movement in Beirut," the army press service said in a statement.

It is noted that among the hit targets were command centers and additional infrastructure facilities of the Shiite movement.

On the eve, November 20, the IDF Press Service reported that the Israeli Air Force (IAF) eliminated two Hezbollah field commanders in the coastal areas of Lebanon by air strikes.

On the same day, the movement's Secretary General Naim Qassem said that Hezbollah's response to the Israeli army's Nov. 17 attacks on the center of the Lebanese capital would be strikes on downtown Tel Aviv. The strikes on Beirut then killed seven people, including one woman. Also, 16 people were injured in the attack.

The escalation of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah came after the events of September 17 and 18, when thousands of people, including employees of the movement, were injured when pagers and other communication devices exploded in Lebanon. The country blamed Tel Aviv for what happened. Since then, Israel has continued to eliminate the leadership of the Shiite movement and strike Lebanese territory.

The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian radical movement Hamas subjected the territory of Israel to a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. On the same day, Israel began retaliatory strikes.
