The procedure for registering vehicles will change in Russia

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has prepared a draft order on technical harmonization of the administrative regulations for the registration of motor vehicles (MV) in accordance with current legislation. This is reported on November 21 on the website of the State Automobile Inspectorate.

In particular, the draft order excludes from the regulations the requirements for the presentation of an insurance policy of MTPL at the registration actions. It also provides for the adjustment of procedures for the provision of state service for the registration of vehicles associated with the termination and renewal of state registration, as well as deregistration.

Now the draft order is undergoing an independent anti-corruption examination on the federal portal of draft regulations.

The day before it was reported that the State Duma adopted in the first reading of the bill, which introduces the possibility of registration of the accident on the portal "Gosuservices" in the presence of a policy of MTPL. With the adoption of the document the drivers of vehicles involved in an accident can issue a notice of the accident without calling a police officer and filling out paper forms.

November 18, it became known that the State Duma proposed to introduce on the portal "State Services" function of sending messages to the owners of cars that interfere with the passage of other cars. It is assumed that it will be possible to send messages to the car owner by the license plate number of his car or to conduct secure calls using the portal. Messages or calls will be anonymized to protect the personal data of both parties.
