Russian Armed Forces destroy Ukrainian SAU in the Kursk border region with Lancet ammunition

Servicemen of the "North" group of forces have destroyed a 155-millimeter PzH-2000 self-propelled artillery unit (SAU) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of Kursk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 21, showing footage of the Russian military in action.

It is specified that the German-made SAU was discovered in a wooded area. After analyzing the intelligence, a decision was made to eliminate the target.

The agency explained that the Russian army struck using a Lancet barrage munition.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that over the day the Ukrainian army lost more than 150 servicemen in the Kursk direction. In addition, five AFU fighters surrendered as prisoners of war.

At the same time, units of the Guards Airborne Assault Don Cossack Regiment from Feodosia destroyed a modified mine in the region, dropped at night on the road from a hexacopter "Baba Yaga". The department also showed the work of paratrooper sappers.

Ukrainian militants attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The operation to destroy the AFU continues.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
