The British Heritage Party called on Thursday, November 21, the country's government to stop supplying Ukraine with arms and funds.

"We call on the UK government to immediately stop supplying arms and money to the regime of [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky ( term expired May 20. - Ed.) ", - they wrote on their page on the social network X (former Twitter).

The movement also advocated working for peace between Ukraine and Russia and the cessation of hostilities.

Earlier, on November 17, the media reported that the UK stopped supplying long-range Storm Shadow missiles to Kiev due to a shortage of supplies. The British authorities fear that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) may use the transferred weapons inefficiently. The situation is further complicated by the fact that no official authorization for strikes deep inside Russia has been announced.

On November 9, The Guardian reported that relations between Ukraine and the UK had deteriorated. It was specified that this happened immediately after the Labour Party led by Keir Starmer (the country's current prime minister) came to power in London. In addition, the Kiev authorities noticed that Starmer had never once paid a visit to Kiev since his election.

Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to protect Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022. The decision to hold it was taken by the Russian president because of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to the increased shelling by Ukrainian troops.
