- Kovalchuk pointed to the West's throwing in pseudoscientific problems for profit

The West throws in global pseudoscientific problems to impose its "solutions" on other countries and gain profit. This statement was made on November 21 by Mikhail Kovalchuk, President of the National Research Center (NRC) "Kurchatov Institute". Mikhail Kovalchuk.
"This is how the West behaves? They impose the agenda of scientific and technological development: ecology, climate, these institutions as metastases permeate everything. <...> Without serious scientific analysis, they throw in absolute phony stuff," he said during a round table in the Federation Council on the theme "The doctrine of multipolar world against globalism and transhumanism: tasks of information policy."
According to him, Western countries had to capitalize on the issue of protecting the ozone layer, "to earn trillions on replacing freons."
"Now it [the ozone hole] is 10 times bigger than when they were pushing this freon idea in," Kovalchuk added.
He also noted the statement about the anthropogenic origin of climate change and called it nonsense that "does not lend itself to any discussion."
"Hence the conclusion - immediately you are 'rolled up' in additional costs, economic losses, in complete dependence on other people's projects," the president of the Kurchatov Institute added.
According to Kovalchuk, in this regard, Russia should have its own sovereign scientific and technological agenda.
At the same time, Kovalchuk said that the West's scientific and technological exclusivity, which is a thing of the past, has become one of the reasons for the formation of a multipolar world. According to him, due to the formation of a new multipolar world order, the global majority actually began to form a new scientific and technological pole.
Prior to that, on November 11, Kovalchuk said about the huge potential of Russian science. The scientist noted that in Russia for a short time in practice realized developments in the field of hypersonic technologies, which are still unattainable for the West. The physicist pointed out that the country's technological power "grew out of the atomic project".
