In Horlivka of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR), 12 civilians, among them the head of the district, were wounded after shelling by the armed formations of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by the head of the DNR Denis Pushilin on November 21.

"Today the VFU shelled the center of Gorlovka, 12 civilians were wounded, including the head of Nikitovsky district Irina Dzhelomanova," Pushilin wrote in his Telegram-channel.

At the moment, the injured are being treated by doctors. The head of the DNR added that the Ukrainian side continues senseless shelling of the city, which have no purpose from a military point of view, but are very sensitive for the civilian population.

"As a result of targeted strikes on critical infrastructure, tens of thousands of Gorlovka residents remain without electricity and heat," he added.

Earlier in the day, Pushilin said that a woman was killed in the 88th quarter of Gorlovka after an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). He specified that now 63 thousand citizens are without light in the city. In addition, 42 boiler houses have stopped their work due to the lack of electricity and water. There is also no heating in 888 residential houses in Horlivka.

Then he also said that five civilians were injured in Gorlovka DNR due to attacks of the AFU. All the injured were provided with the necessary medical care. In addition, Pushilin said that an ambulance station was damaged during the AFU attack in the Central City district of the city.

Ukrainian militants have been shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions, on a daily basis amid a special operation to protect Donbas, the start of which was announced by Russia on February 24, 2022.
