In the school in Cheboksary, a student walked with a knife and threatened others. About it on Thursday, November 21, reported the Prosecutor's office of Chuvashia.

"It is preliminarily established that today between 9:00 and 10:00, a sixth grade student took a knife used for slicing bread from the canteen and openly moved around the school premises with it, demonstrating it to surrounding children and adults, while uttering words of a threatening nature", - stated in the message of the department in Telegram-channel.

The teenager was quickly detained by a school security officer, no one was hurt. Law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene.

According to preliminary data, the sixth-grader is on the in-school registration.

On the fact of the incident the prosecutor's office organized a check: the circumstances and causes of the incident are being established. An assessment will also be given to the actions of the staff of the educational institution, which allowed the knife to get to the teenager.

Earlier, on November 7, it was reported that in the Chelyabinsk region, a local resident broke into one of the schools, where he tried to snatch a knife from a canteen worker. The attacker was detained. A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under part 3 of article 30, part. 1 article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder").
