The AFU lost more than 150 soldiers on the Kursk direction over the day


The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have lost more than 150 servicemen in the Kursk region over the past 24 hours. This was reported by the Defense Ministry on 21 November.
Five Ukrainian militants surrendered as prisoners, added in the summary of the department.
"Units of the "North" group of troops defeated formations of the 41st, 47th and 115th mechanized, 5th and 17th tank, 82nd airborne assault brigades, 36th Marine Brigade, 112th, 117th and 129th brigades of territorial defense of the AFU in the areas of Alekseevka, Viktorovka, Daryino, Lebedevka, Leonidovka, Malaya Loknya, Nikolsky, Novoivanovka and Sverdlikovo," the ministry said.
In total, during the fighting in the specified direction, the enemy lost more than 34,540 military.
Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry reported that units of the Guards Airborne Assault Don Cossack Regiment from Feodosia destroyed a modified mine in the region, dropped at night on the road from a Baba Yaga hexacopter. The department also showed the work of paratrooper sappers.
Ukrainian militants attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The operation to destroy the AFU continues.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
