There were 315 traffic accidents in Russia over the past day

Over the past 24 hours, 315 traffic accidents occurred on Russian roads, in which 33 people were killed and 368 injured. 27 of the dead were drivers and passengers of vehicles. This was reported to "Izvestia" on November 21 in the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
As a result of 119 traffic accidents, 76 of which occurred at crosswalks and 43 outside their zone of action, six pedestrians were killed, another 116 were injured of varying severity. Among the injured were 20 child pedestrians.
With the participation of minors 32 accidents were registered, as a result of which 33 young road users were injured, including 12 passengers. One child pedestrian died.
Thus, in Perm Krai, on a regional highway, the driver of a bus of one of the local oil refineries hit an eight-year-old schoolgirl. She was crossing the roadway at an unregulated crosswalk towards her mother, who was waiting for her on the opposite side of the road. As a result of the accident the girl died.
In Omsk, the driver of a passenger car hit a 14-year-old girl who was late for school and ran out onto the roadway in front of the vehicle, there was no crosswalk nearby. The schoolgirl was hospitalized with injuries.
The traffic police recommend drivers to be especially collected and careful when passing near schools, kindergartens and other educational or sports organizations, where there is a high probability of sudden appearance of children on the road, especially in the morning and evening. When approaching such facilities, speed should be reduced as much as possible to be able to stop the vehicle in case of a sudden change in traffic conditions.
In addition, motorists are advised to be careful when approaching crosswalks and intersections, as the behavior of children when crossing the roadway, even in the places established for this purpose and even accompanied by adults is often unpredictable.
"Once again we remind parents that the lack of control over the behavior and leisure time of children, especially in the evening, often leads to injury or death of young road users. Be more attentive to them. Also recommend to equip the clothes of schoolchildren-pedestrians with retroreflective elements to make them more visible on the road for drivers in conditions of low visibility or darkness," - said "Izvestia" deputy head of the department of propaganda of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, police colonel Anton Belan.
November 18, it was reported that the state company "Avtodor" for the first time in Russia in the test mode mounted an innovative roller fence. It was installed at the intersection of the Central Ring Road and the highway M-1 "Belarus" at exits and turns. The fence is designed for a significant impact force equivalent to the impact of a 15-ton bus at a speed of 74 km/h.
