The State Duma approved the federal budget for 2025-2027

The State Duma on Thursday, November 21, adopted in the third reading the law on the federal budget for 2025 and the planning period of 2026-2027. This is reported on the website of the lower house of Parliament.

The document was supported by 335 deputies, one spoke against, abstained - 77.

Thus, in 2025 the federal budget revenues are expected to grow up to Br40.296 trillion, which is 11.6% more than in the current year. In 2026, the income is projected at Br41.841 trillion, while in 2027 - Br43.154 trillion.

Br6.9 trillion is budgeted for social policy in 2025 (a total of Br21.3 trillion over three years). This is the indexation of pensions, social benefits, support for families with children.

It is noted that the adopted law ensures all social obligations, realizes the development objectives and takes into account all the challenges faced by Russia.

The document was submitted to Parliament on September 30. It was noted that the main goal was to fulfill social obligations to citizens.

On October 24, the draft was adopted in the first reading. It was noted that the largest part of the budget in 2025 will be spent on defense (32.5%), then on social policy (15.7%), national economy (10.5%) and national security and law enforcement (8.3%).

The budget was adopted in the second reading on November 14. 888 amendments were made to the draft. It was reported that Br537.5 billion will be allocated for maternity capital in the coming year. The size of the maternity capital will amount to Br676.3 billion for the first child and Br217.4 billion additionally for the second. The program will be available to 1.7 million families.
