Kovalchuk stated the impact of multipolarity on the West's loss of scientific technology

The West's scientific and technological exclusivity, which is becoming a thing of the past, has become one of the reasons for the formation of a multipolar world. This was stated by Mikhail Kovalchuk, President of the National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute" on November 21, during a roundtable discussion in the Federation Council on the topic "Doctrina vs. Mikhail Kovalchuk during the round table in the Federation Council on the theme "The doctrine of multipolar world against globalism and transhumanism: tasks of information policy".

"The formation of a multipolar world is objectively conditioned by the loss of exclusivity in the possession of high technologies by a small group of countries. <...> The West and the United States have lost their technological exclusivity," Kovalchuk said.

He noted that due to the formation of a new multipolar world order, the global majority actually began to form a new scientific and technological pole.

Earlier, on November 11, Kovalchuk said about the huge potential of Russian science. The scientist noted that in Russia in a short period of time, developments in the field of hypersonic technologies, which are still unattainable for the West, have been realized in practice. The physicist pointed out that the country's technological power "grew out of the atomic project."

Before that, on November 4, the president of SIC Kurchatov Institute emphasized the importance of a multipolar world for the development of science. According to Kovalchuk, the commercial application of any achievements may be secret, but scientific discoveries should be available to all countries.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on October 29 that science has brilliant prospects in Russia. This sphere annually demonstrates new results in the country, and the development of the Russian Federation is impossible without science.
