Russian troops liberate the village of Dalneye in the DNR


Russian troops have liberated the village of Dalneye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 21.
"The units of the Southern grouping of troops as a result of decisive actions liberated the settlement of Dalneye," the report said.
The DNR People's Militia published footage of a Russian flag in the settlement.
The Defense Ministry specified that the Russian army inflicted defeats on formations of the 33rd and 54th mechanized and 56th motorized infantry brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the areas of Chervonoye, Seversk, Verolyubovka, Dachne and Kurakhovo settlements in the DNR. In addition, the servicemen of the Russian Army repelled a counterattack of the formations of the 46th AFU airmobile brigade.
It is noted that the Ukrainian army lost up to 380 fighters and military equipment.
The day before the Russian Armed Forces liberated the settlement of Ilyinka in the DNR. At the same time, the Russian army defeated the AFU in the areas of Druzhba, Shcherbinovka, Dzerzhinsk, Zarya and Sukhaya Balka.
On November 18, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that fighters from a unit of the Center group of troops liberated the village of Novoalekseevka in the Donetsk People's Republic.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
