- Putin held a meeting with Egorov, head of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with the head of the Federal Tax Service (FTS) Daniil Egorov. This was reported by the Kremlin press service on Thursday, November 21.
The meeting was held in the Kremlin on the Day of the employee of tax authorities in Russia. During it, it was discussed that for the current year the country's budget system received 46 trillion rubles - this is 20% more than in 2023.
"All in all, by the end of the year, the total volume of tax revenues to the budget is expected at the level of 55.6 trillion rubles with an increase of 18.9%," Egorov said.
The head of the Federal Tax Service noted that there is a 22-percent increase in personal income tax, VAT and retail trade revenues, which indicates the growth of household incomes and consumption. At the same time, there is a significant development of online trade. The share of online sales in the total revenue of the largest Russian retailers increased from 6% in 2019 to 42% in 2024.
Earlier, on September 16, the results of the September macroeconomic survey of the Central Bank showed that this year the average nominal salary in the Russian Federation will increase by 16%. This figure may become a record since 2008, when it was at 27%. It was noted that last year the nominal salary in Russia amounted to about 75 thousand rubles with an increase of almost 15% from 2022. Thus, with an increase of 16%, the average salary for the whole 2024 will rise to 89 thousand. According to statistics, as of June it has already reached 89.2 thousand.
