The US missile defense base in Poland has long been added to the list of Russian priority targets for possible defeat. This was stated by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on Thursday, November 21.

She noted that by building the base, the US side had ignored "Russian security concerns" for many years, which forced Moscow to closely monitor the situation to prepare a response in advance.

"Given the nature of the level of threats posed by this kind of Western military facilities, the missile defense base in Poland has long been added to the list of priority targets for potential defeat," the diplomat said.

Zakharova pointed out that if necessary, a strike could be carried out with "a wide range of the latest weapons."

Polish President Andrzej Duda on November 13 proposed to relocate all US military bases to the territory of the state from countries that are unhappy with their location. He emphasized that at the moment there are about 10 thousand U.S. military stationed in the country.

On the same day in Poland opened a U.S. missile defense base. The facility is located on the territory of the village of Redzikowo, which is located in the north of the state, 165 km from the border with Russia.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the opening of American bases on the territory of Poland an attempt to contain the potential of the Russian Federation. He noted that such actions are a confirmation that Russian President Vladimir Putin is right about the plans that continue to be implemented.
