Searches in the Gelman case take place at the Museum of Modern Art in Perm


The Perm Museum of Modern Art PERMM is being searched in the case of gallery owner Marat Gelman (recognized in Russia as a foreign agent and included in the list of terrorists and extremists). This was reported on Thursday, November 21, by a source of Izvestia.
According to his information, the law enforcement agencies' actions are related to the terrorism case against Gelman.
The searches were also conducted at the homes of the museum director Naila Allakhverdiyeva and her commercial partners.
Marat Gelman is a Russian collector and publicist. In 2009, he founded the PERMM Museum and ran it until 2013. Since 2014 he has been living abroad.
Earlier, on November 14, Rosfinmonitoring included Gelman in the register of terrorists and extremists.
The Russian Ministry of Justice added him to the register of foreign agents at the end of 2021. In December 2022, the Russian Interior Ministry put Gelman on a criminal wanted list. In February 2024, he became the organizer of a congress of foreign agents in Berlin.
