Russian military destroyed an AFU pontoon ferry across the Northern Donets River

Russian servicemen have destroyed a pontoon crossing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) across the Northern Donets River in the Krasnolimansk direction with a missile strike. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 21.

The air strike was carried out by guided missile weaponry - for this purpose the Kh-38 air-to-surface missile of short range was used.

"As a result of an accurate hit, the crossing was destroyed," the Russian Defense Ministry indicated.

Before that, on October 24, the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) destroyed the crossing of the AFU across the Oskol River in Kharkiv region. It is specified that the strike was made on the crossing west of the settlement of Kupyansk-Uzlovoy. The Defense Ministry noted that thanks to the work of Russian aviation the AFU are deprived of the remaining supply routes.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
