One person was injured in an accident with an electric train in Shchelkovo, Moscow Region

In the collision of a train with an asphalt paver in Shchelkovo near Moscow, the driver of special equipment was injured. About it on Thursday, November 21, reported in the press service of the Moscow railroad.

"According to preliminary information, the driver of the asphalt paver was taken to hospital," - specified in the Telegram-channel of the MZhD.

At the moment, traffic on the Fryazinskaya branch of the Yaroslavl direction is carried out from Monino to Shchelkovo and from Sokolovskaya to Moscow. Compensatory buses are allocated for passenger transportation from Sokolovskaya station to Shchelkovo.

In turn, long-distance trains №91 "Severobaikalsk - Moscow" and №35 "Nizhny Novgorod - Moscow" arrived at the Eastern station.

All necessary measures are being taken to resume traffic on the section. The liquidation of the incident is coordinated by a specially created operational headquarters.

In the press service of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow region also specified that employees of the State Automobile Inspectorate find out the circumstances of the accident.

About the collision of the electric train with a tractor in Shchelkovo became known earlier in the day. The Moscow Railroad said that the accident occurred at 04:43 Moscow time at the Shchelkovo - Sokolovskaya crossing. The excavator unauthorizedly drove onto the railway crossing before an approaching commuter train.
