Peskov reported the use of echeloned air defense against Ukrainian drone attacks

The Russian Armed Forces are using echeloned air defense systems to minimize the threat of drone attacks on Russian regions. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on November 21.
"Here, of course, first of all, our military is working, they are creating echeloned air defense systems to minimize the threat from such drone attacks. But, of course, completely, 100%, no system can be effective," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
For this reason, tragedies sometimes still occur because of such attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Peskov added. He pointed out that the only way to fully insure against such situations is to achieve the goals of a special military operation.
The Kremlin spokesman also noted that the AFU uses drones to attack residential facilities on Russian territory, while the Russian military works only on military targets.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the destruction of two Ukrainian drones over the territories of Rostov and Volgograd regions. They were eliminated by on-duty air defense means. In addition, the night before, the AFU drones attacked two villages in the Belgorod region, in one of them a civilian was injured.
Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu emphasized back on November 7 that the Kiev regime has now turned into an externally controlled dangerous terrorist. According to him, at the moment, Western countries are facing a choice - to continue financing Ukraine or to start negotiations.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
