Air defense forces eliminated two UAVs over Rostov and Volgograd regions

Air defense forces have intercepted and destroyed two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the territories of Rostov and Volgograd regions. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 21.

"During the past night, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack with the use of UAVs of aircraft type on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation was suppressed," the ministry said in its Telegram channel.

The Russian Defense Ministry noted that the Ukrainian drones were shot down by on-duty air defense equipment.

Earlier in the day, the interim governor of the region, Yuri Slyusar, said that air defense forces destroyed a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Rostov region.

Before that, on November 20, the administration of Melitopol reported the destruction of a Ukrainian UAV over the city. It is specified that because of the attack there was a short-term short circuit of electricity, on the site are working operational services.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
