In the South Pacific Ocean off the coast of Samoa was recorded earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6. This was reported on November 20 by the United States Geological Survey(USGS).

The origin of the earthquake lay at a depth of 200 km, 350 km from the capital of Samoa, the city of Alia. The threat of a tsunami in the region was not announced, information about victims or destruction was not received.

Earlier, on November 19, the earthquake with magnitude 5.7 was recorded off the coast of the Kingdom of Tonga. The origin of the earthquake was located at a depth of 10 km, 61 km from the capital city of Nuku'alofa.
