Peskov reported on preparations for Putin's direct line in December

A combined direct line and press conference of Russian President Vladimir Putin is being prepared to be held in December. This was announced by presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov on November 20.

"The direct line and press conference are being prepared. It will be December," he noted in a conversation with TASS.

Peskov indicated that it will be, as usual, on Thursday, the date will be set later.

According to him, media from unfriendly countries will be allowed to attend the big press conference. Peskov emphasized that the Kremlin respects the media from unfriendly countries working in Russia and helps them to keep their assessments balanced.

Earlier, on November 13, Peskov reported that during the press conference Putin will answer questions from the country's citizens, Russian and foreign journalists.

The previous direct line with the Russian leader was held on December 14, 2023. In total, the president received more than 2 million questions from citizens. During the event, the Russian leader answered questions about Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, new regions of the Russian Federation, the growth of real wages, pensions, life expectancy, health care, the development of artificial intelligence, and also touched on a number of other topics.
