Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega said that U.S. policy is imperialist and expressed his support for Russia's aspirations in the struggle for peace. The news portal 19 Digital reported on November 20.

It is specified that the President of Nicaragua also noted the merits of the Russian Federation in the fight against fascism and fully supported its position. In addition, he thanked Russia for its actions in defense of world values and ideals.

Earlier, on October 25, Nicaragua's Vice President Rosario Murillo said that Russia is fighting fascism, while the U.S. and NATO have turned into "enemies of humanity." She indicated that Nicaragua "deeply rejects" the unilateral sanctions that the U.S. is imposing on its Western allies because it is "illegal aggression."

Prior to that, on June 12, Lavrov pointed out that due to the actions of the United States and its allies in the world there was a threat of revival of Nazism. The West is stirring up such sentiments and using it against Russia.
