A rally of relatives and wives of Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) soldiers who have gone missing has been held in Kiev. Images from the scene are at the disposal of Izvestiya.

According to the citizens, they had to take part in the rally to "speak out about themselves and their relatives so that the authorities could do something to find them and bring them home". The protesters believe that the Kiev authorities are currently the enemies of Ukraine.

"Everyone wants money, everyone wants to make a profit. And no one remembers about our relatives. We need our relatives, or rather, they need them only to throw them to one side for meat. And when they start to disappear, when they already have the status of "missing", absolutely no one communicates, no one deals with them," said one of the participants of the rally.

Ukrainian citizens are indignant that the authorities do not think about the AFU soldiers, but are more concerned about military equipment. At the same time, neither dead nor alive Ukrainian fighters are returned from the special military operation zone.

"I want to be heard, to see all this pain, the pain of wives, women, sisters, mothers, to see all this atrocity that is going on, to begin to bear criminal responsibility, starting from the platoon commander, ending with the commander-in-chief, to see all this atrocity, so that the officers are responsible for the personnel, for the losses they suffer. No evacuation, no responsibility," said a participant of the rally.

Earlier, on November 8, political scientist, member of the international public movement "The Other Ukraine" Oleksandr Dudchak reported on the unwillingness of Ukrainians to fight because of the negligence of Kiev.

Before that, on 4 October, it became known that about 100 soldiers of the 187th battalion of the 123rd territorial defense brigade in Voskresenskoye in Mykolaiv Region refused to carry out the combat task set by their commanders and left the military unit unauthorized. It was noted that the fighters came out to the rally to claim that they were insufficiently prepared to take part in combat operations in the Donetsk direction and that there was a critical shortage of ammunition.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of an aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
