Su-25 destroyed armored vehicles and AFU personnel in the border area of the Kursk Region

Attack aviation crews in Su-25 aircraft have carried out missile air strikes against armored vehicles and personnel of Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) units in the border areas of Kursk Region. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on November 21.

According to the ministry, the missiles were launched in pairs from low altitudes. After the use of aerial weapons, the crews performed a maneuver, releasing heat traps, and returned to the airfield of departure.

As a result of the combat use, camouflaged armored vehicles and AFU personnel were destroyed.

After the sorties, the specialists of the engineering and technical staff performed routine maintenance work on the aircraft and preparation of aircraft for a second combat flight.

The day before, on November 20, the crew of a Su-34 multirole supersonic fighter-bomber of the Russian Air and Space Forces (AFS) carried out an airstrike against AFU personnel, armored vehicles and a stronghold in the border area of Kursk Region.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
