Russian tourists choose Thailand and Egypt for spring-summer 2025

Thailand, Egypt and Turkey, as well as Russian regions, are among the most popular destinations for early bookings of tours for spring-summer 2025, the service "Sletat.ru" told Izvestia.

The volume of bookings of tours with arrivals from February to the end of August 2025 is 1.7 times higher than on the same dates a year earlier, according to the data of the service. The UAE, Abkhazia, China, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Cuba were also among the top ten most popular destinations. Although a year ago instead of China and Vietnam in the top were Malaysia and Maldives.

"Among foreign destinations Japan stands out significantly, where the number of early bookings for the upcoming spring and summer season exceeds last year's figures five times, Abkhazia - almost four times, Georgia and Thailand - twice," - added in the service of online hotel and apartment booking service "Ostrovok".

According to the MTS Travel service, the majority of early bookings of tourist accommodation for the next spring-summer season are made in Russia. Their number is already 16% higher than the level of early bookings of the last season.

The greatest demand is observed for accommodation in Krasnodar region, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Irkutsk and Pyatigorsk.
