A criminal case has been opened over the embezzlement of funds from Kalashnikov Concern

A criminal case has been opened in Ivanovo Region on the fact of embezzlement on a particularly large scale from the Kalashnikov concern. This was reported on November 21 in the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the region.

"Unidentified persons from among representatives of one of the contractors of the concern in the period from October 11, 2023 to November 13, 2024 <...> carried out for the concern the delivery of part of the purchased parts in violation of the terms of the contractual agreements, knowingly knowing at the same time about the non-compliance of the quality of these parts with technical requirements," - specified the representative of law enforcement agencies in conversation with TASS.

The investigation also established that at the time of the conclusion of the contracts the defendants knew about their inability to fulfill their conditions. Thus, the contractor lacked the necessary production facilities and sites.

Based on the results of the inspection, a criminal case on fraud committed by an organized group on a particularly large scale was initiated.

Earlier, November 16, a case of embezzlement of 2.2 million rubles from Rosselkhoznadzor was initiated in Dagestan. According to the investigation, the defendants in 2020 fictitiously employed a local resident in a government position for the subsequent illegal receipt of his salary and work record.
