Zelensky recognized Ukraine's inability to reach the 1991 borders

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whose term in office expired on May 20, has admitted that Kiev does not have enough forces to reach the 1991 borders.
"We realize that at the moment we do not have so many forces that we can push back (Russian President Vladimir) Putin to the 1991 borders with weapons in our hands," Zelensky said in an interview with Fox News television.
He added that Ukraine is "ready to return Crimea diplomatically" because it is unable to do so by force.
Earlier in the day, the NYT newspaper reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) had almost run out of HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). The piece also noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were experiencing a significant shortage of soldiers and commanders in some parts of the frontline.
On November 8, the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Anna Skorokhod after a conversation with AFU fighters who are on the line of contact in the special operation zone, recognized the impossibility for the country to return militarily to the borders of 1991.
On October 30, Zelensky said that the national army was retreating at the frontline due to a shortage of troops. According to the head of the Kiev regime, recently from the battlefield comes information about the significant superiority of the army of the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation, so, for example, the numbers can be "1 to 8".
Before that, on September 30, the commander of the Russian army's assault unit said that Ukrainian army units in the Kursk border area retreat at the slightest onslaught. He also specified that Ukrainian militants try to resist in the first few minutes. However, having "felt the slightest onslaught", they begin to retreat.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
