The team of US President-elect Donald Trump is negotiating with representatives of the cryptocurrency industry to create a new position in the White House dedicated to digital asset policy. This was reported by Bloomberg on November 20, citing anonymous sources.

According to the sources, Trump's team is holding staffing discussions and interviews with potential candidates at the Mar-a-Lago residence (Florida). As the agency noted, if such a position is created, it will increase the influence that the cryptocurrency industry has on the future administration.

However, the agency could not get an official comment from the Trump team.

Earlier, on November 20, BitRiver financial analyst Vladislav Antonov noted that bitcoin rose 37% after Donald Trump won the US presidential election on November 5, as the president-elect announced plans to turn the States into the world's cryptocurrency capital.

Before that, on November 5, Donald Trump noted that cryptocurrency has a "great future" and joked that if he wins the election, he will order to pay off the national debt with it.
