- Matvienko visited the III International Forum "Commonwealth of Fashion" in St. Petersburg

Chairperson of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko visited the III International Forum "Commonwealth of Fashion" in St. Petersburg on November 20. Images of the event are at the disposal of "Izvestia".
She noted that the presented clothes reflect the culture of the state and are a reflection of the national traditions of the peoples.
"The main thing is that these clothes preserve the national traditions of our peoples, our national codes," Matvienko said.
According to her, domestic manufacturers can independently engage in the design of clothes, shoes and accessories, without any help. The event is a vivid example that Russian brands can replace foreign brands that have left the country.
"Very beautiful, colorful, I think such a very showy, I would say so. It gave the impression, yes it is clear, that our peoples can do everything themselves," Matvienko said.
The forum gathered more than 1.5 thousand participants. Producers summarized 16 agreements, which will also improve the domestic clothing industry.
Earlier, on October 9, the III Moscow Fashion Week ended in Moscow. On its three catwalks in the Central Exhibition Hall "Manezh" 83 shows were held. The event was visited by 65 thousand people.
