Politico has learned of the European Parliament's approval of the new composition of the European Commission

The European Parliament (EP) has approved the entire composition of the new European Commission (EC). This was reported by Politico newspaper on November 20 with reference to parliamentary and political officials.

"The European Parliament agreed to approve all seven pending candidates for the post of European commissioners," the publication said.

It is specified that the review process was postponed more than a week ago due to political differences between the "European People's Party" and "Socialists and Democrats". As noted by the authors of the material, the process came to a standstill when the deputies began to check the six executive Vice-Presidents of the European Commission, as well as the European Commissioner from Hungary, adds "Gazeta.Ru".

Earlier, on November 10, American entrepreneur Ilon Musk supported the idea of MEP Fidias Panayiotou about the need for more democratic and transparent elections of the head of the EC. According to Panayiotou, in the current format the procedure takes place "behind closed doors", and this becomes the basis for shady deals.

Before that, on October 20, columnist of the British portal UnHerd Thomas Fazi said that von der Leyen intends to completely seize power in the EC.
