A pregnant resident of Tuva, who had heart problems, was taken to the Almazov National Medical Research Center in St. Petersburg for treatment, the woman and her child were saved. This was reported to "Izvestia" on November 20 by the director of the Institute of Perinatal Pediatrics of the Almazov Center Tatyana Pervunina.

The patient is 30 weeks pregnant. Initially, the woman went to the doctors because she felt unwell after suffering from acute respiratory viral infections, but the examination showed that she had a severe heart disease. The patient was first referred to Krasnoyarsk, and from there they decided to take her to St. Petersburg by sanaviation plane.

"The woman was stabilized on the spot, specialized cardiological care was provided at the place of her stay, she received those medications that support cardiac activity," - said Pervunina.

She noted that the flight between Krasnoyarsk and St. Petersburg was difficult for a woman with health problems and late pregnancy, especially taking into account the time zone difference. The patient's health condition still leaves much to be desired, but Pervunina hopes that the specialists of the Almazov Center will help the woman give birth to a healthy child and get rid of her own problems.

The doctor noted that now the patient undergoes oxygen therapy, receives assisted lung ventilation during specialized care, and is given medications to support the heart. Pervunina said that a large group of cardiologists, obstetricians-gynecologists, specialists in functional diagnostics held a consilium to determine the plan for further treatment of the woman.

Now the patient is under the supervision of doctors in the intensive care unit, the condition of the future child and the health dynamics of its mother are monitored.

For the life of the woman and the fetus fought not only doctors of the Almazov Center, but also specialists of the National Medical Center of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology named after Academician V.I. Kulakov with the participation of the Center of Air Ambulance (CAA) of the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine (FCMK).

Earlier, on August 30, doctors of the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital (DRCB) of Buryatia saved a boy aged one year and eight months, who had acute pancreonecrosis due to improper nutrition. The child was in serious condition and underwent a minimally traumatic surgery. The doctors noted that the boy was fed fried food and snacks, which caused the disease.
