The program "Winter in the Moscow Region" will start in the Moscow Region on December 1. More than 5 thousand events are planned for this season. About it the Minister of culture and tourism of the region Vasily Kuznetsov reported on Wednesday, November 20.

"We expect three major exhibition projects and plan that the tourist flow to the region this year will be 5 million people - 200 thousand more than for 2024. Our events are focused on family audience," Radio 1 quoted the head of the department as saying.

Kuznetsov added that several regional projects with the participation of Olympic champions are planned.

"They all holidays will please the residents of the Moscow region. The events will be free, everyone will be able to come to them," he said.

Among the main events of "Winter in the Moscow region" 2024/25, the Minister named ice performances.

"They will be free for residents. They are mainly held in parks. We are sure that a large number of people will come to ice performances," - emphasized Kuznetsov.

Also in the Moscow region will be presented winter moto freestyle show led by Alexei Kolesnikov.

Earlier in the day, the expert of the Russian Union of Travel Industry on travel aggregators Valery Britaus during a press conference in the MICE "Izvestia" said that the most popular countries among Russians for New Year holidays were the Russian Federation, Georgia and Morocco.

Also in the top were Sri Lanka and Maldives, he specified.
